The Mylnes of Lota: Memoirs and biographical sketches by Graham D. Mylne, Graham E. Mylne, Kathleen A. Mylne and others plus articles based on research by Thomas A. Mylne and James A. Mylne
In August 2014 I was given custody of my mother’s collection of papers relating to the history of the Lota Mylne family. These included a booklet of Graham Ernest Mylne’s Memories, printed for circulation within the family in 1962, and a binder containing Kathleen Mylne’s Concerning the Mylnes, re-typed and printed for the same purpose in 1981 by Margaret Lilian Galwey, formerly Mylne. In addition there was an unfinished draft of a biography of Graham Douglas Mylne, based on his diaries, and various other papers. It seemed to me that the time had come to distribute these memoirs again, to a new generation of descendants. Since that time I have become interested in researching the Scottish and Australian history of the Lota Mylne family. This book is the result.
